Chegutu Pirates reduce gap to two points

Chegutu pirates’s win away to Omnia in a Northern Region Soccer League match on Saturday saw “Dzinza” reducing the gap to two points.

Pirates won the match 1:2 courtesy of goals from Panashe Mushonga and Jimu Gwara ,to keep their quest for promotion alive as top of the table Mambas drop points in Ngoni stadium after a share of spoils with MWOS.

Pirates, who now trail log leaders Black Mambas by just two points with only two games left and having to cancel each other this weekend.

Dzinza who is coached by Rasday Gutu kept their record of collecting points away from home on trek as they are clearing all hurdles in their way,keeping alive their title aspirations.

Chegutu community is fully in support of their team as they always come in their numbers supporting the team.A die hard supporter Mr Mutongerwa said next season they will be talking of going to Bulawayo to face Highlanders Fc

The battle for promotion has intensified, with Pirates set to host Mambas in one of their two remaining fixtures.

Mambas played a nill-all draw against Lloyd Mutasa’s boys in Norton on Saturday.

Chegutu Pirates, popularly known as Dzinza, are pushing hard to make sure that Chegutu community will enjoy top flight football next season .

Kadoma soccer supporters association call upon Mash west sports loving people to support Dzinza in their do or die match against Mambas this coming weekend.
“This is a do or die match, so I urges everyone in the province to come in numbers to support Chegutu Pirates,” said Tonderai ‘Boys dzangu’ Maunde.

“Pirates is our neighbour and friend, so a good friend must be available in times of need. This is the time Pirates needs support and Kadoma community will be there in full support,” he added.
