CCC Activist Moreblessing Ali’s Killer Jailed 30 Years

High Court judge Esther Muremba has sentenced Pius Jamba Mukandi to 30 years in prison after his conviction for murdering Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activist Moreblessing Ali.

Ali’s mutilated body was recovered in a well at Plot number 321 Denota Farm, Beatrice, on June 11 last year after she went missing on May 24, 2022.

According to eye witnesses, Mukandi was the last person seen with Ali before her disappearance.

This was after an altercation developed between the two during a beer binge in Chitungwiza.

After a full trial Mukandi was convicted for the heinous act leading to his sentencing Tuesday.
