Zim Hip Hop Organisers Reveal Why Saint Floew Did Not Win Any Award After Facing Heavy Criticism

The Zim Hip Hop Awards organization recently came under fire after it emerged that fast-rising Hip Hop musician Saint Floew did not win any awards.

Winners Shine at Awards Show Amid Surprising Absence

The annual Zim Hip Hop Awards were held on Friday in Harare at The 7 Arts Theatre, Avondale, Harare.

Holy Ten claimed three major awards, including Best Male, Best Hip Hop Hustle, and People’s Choice. Voltz JT secured two gongs, winning in the Positive Social Impact Award and Video of the Year/Best Director categories.

Other winners included Young Gemini for Best Female, Kay Flow as Best Newcomer, and Noluntu J, Malcom Mufunde, Snyk, LeonMwanaWaJose, and Mlue Jay, who respectively won Best Live Act, Best Album, Best Gospel Act, and Best Diaspora.

After the awards show, Hip Hop fans expressed shock and dismay upon discovering that Saint Floew was not included in the nominees’ list and did not receive any awards at the show.

Saint Floew is one of the fast-rising Zimbabwean Hip Hop musicians, and his hit songs have been making waves. The fact that he did not win any award sparked outrage on social media as people slammed the Zim Hip Hop organizers for not recognizing and awarding Saint Floew. Netizens accused the organizers of sabotaging Saint Floew.

After facing heavy criticism, the Zim Hip Hop Awards took to their Facebook account to reveal the real reason why Saint Floew did not win any awards at the recently held awards ceremony. The organization revealed that Saint Floew requested removal from the nominees’ list and was not involved in the event.
