In a shocking incident, a 37-year-old man tragically collapsed and died during an intimate encounter with a young girl.
The deceased, identified as Kudakwashe Ocram Magaya Mushayi, worked as a tout in Birchenough Bridge, Buhera.

According to a leaked memo seen by iHarare, the incident occurred on February 25, 2024, when Mushayi met 17-year-old Gracious Priscah Maruta, a resident of Kona Clinic village Chief Musikavanhu, Chipinge
Maruta was looking for her boyfriend, Webster Nkomonde, who had promised to pay her bus fare. Unable to reach Nkomonde, Maruta shared her predicament with Mushayi, who offered to pay her fare in exchange for intimate favours. After making the necessary arrangements, they boarded a vehicle driven by Hellington Choga and proceeded to a secluded area near Birchenough Bridge Hotel.
Tragically, during the intimate encounter, Mushayi suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness. Maruta attempted to revive him but received no response. Fearing the worst, she left him and returned to Musharu Bus Terminus, where she met her boyfriend, Nkomonde.
Investigation Launched: Police Probe Circumstances Surrounding the Sudden Death of Kudakwashe Mushayi
Kudakwashe Mushayi’s lifeless body was discovered by a passerby under a tree near Save River. The concerned individual reported the incident to the authorities, prompting a response from Birchenough Bridge police. The crime scene was secured while awaiting the arrival of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Upon inspection, the body of Mushayi was found facing downwards, wearing a black vest, grey shorts with the “Lakers 23” label, yellow floral shorts, blue pants, and white shoes. A black wallet containing US$1 and ZWL$1,100, a brown bazooka radio, and a blue towel were discovered nearby.
Kudakwashe Mushayi’s belongings, including a black power bank and a cellphone, were found in his right pocket. No physical injuries were observed, and no foreign objects were found at the scene.
Authorities interviewed Maruta, who confirmed the intimate encounter and led them to the location where Mushayi had collapsed. She expressed her involvement in the incident, revealing that Mushayi became unconscious during their encounter.
Awaiting Autopsy Results: Authorities Work to Determine Cause of Death as Body Transferred to Mortuary
The body of Kudakwashe Mushayi has been transferred to Birchenough Bridge Hospital Mortuary, where further investigations will take place to determine the cause of death.
