SAD SCENES: Man stabbed to death in night club brawl over women
A GLEN View man died after being stabbed by three men in a pub brawl over some women.
The incident occurred at around 2am on Sunday at Dallas Night Club in Glen View 4.
Geodrick Mushonga was with his friend, Douglas Pasipanodya, when they were attacked.
Harare Provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the incident.
“A dispute occurred between the now deceased, and six unknown male adults, who were also drinking beer in the same nightclub.
“The unknown persons assaulted the now deceased and Douglas.
“They fled from the nightclub and the accused persons followed the two to the bus terminus and continued assaulting the now deceased.
“Three accused persons pursued Douglas and attacked him with stones and he sustained a deep cut above the left eye and three cuts on the back of the head.
“Douglas fled and went home and went to Sally Mugabe Hospital for medical examination,” said Insp Chakanza.
Mushonga’s neighbour said they were fighting over some women.
“He was attacked by men from Churu Farm, hanzi vakarohwa pa-bar irori, so they had come for revenge.
“Mushonga’s friend was enjoying himself with some ladies who the accused men also wanted, and they told Mushonga to call the ladies for them and he refused.
“Mushonga was advised to leave the place and akatoenda nevamwe vanga vamuti handei asi akazodzoka later and found the accused bashing his friend, Douglas.
“He was attacked when he intervened. They pursued Geodrick to the bus terminus where they attacked him vakamubaya nemapanga akafa,” said the neighbour. HMetro.
