Jah Prayzah’s Transformative Disguise: Spreading Kindness on the Streets of Harare
In the recent episode of his “Ngirozi Yenzira” show, which was released on YouTube yesterday, Jah Prayzah disguised himself as an elderly man in a wheelchair.
His transformation was so remarkable that he remained unrecognizable. Navigating the streets of Harare in his wheelchair, Jah Prayzah sought for assistance in the form of food and money.
Mixed Reactions: Jah Prayzah Encounters Both Resistance and Generosity
The video footage captured Jah Prayzah approaching a number of people, including motorists and street vendors, in his earnest quest for aid.
During his escapade, Jah Prayzah encountered a variety of responses from people he encountered in the streets. While some people refused to assist him, others snubbed him or claimed not to have any money.
However, amidst these reactions, there were those who showed kindness and offered their support. Some individuals provided him with money and food, demonstrating their generosity. Notably, a street vendor went above and beyond by offering him a refreshing drink.
Jah Prayzah’s Generous Gestures: Rewarding Kindness with Money and Delighting Supporters
Jah Prayzah approached a male street vendor who was selling drinks on the side of the road and requested for a drink. He explained to the vendor that he had no money. Graciously, the street vendor offered him a drink, and Jah Prayzah expressed his gratitude.
Curious about the cost, Jah Prayzah inquired, and the vendor replied that it was 50 cents. Jah Prayzah then reached into his pockets and presented the vendor with wads of US dollar cash, consisting of US$20 notes. Initially taken aback, the street vendor hesitated to accept the money, but Jah Prayzah reassured him, urging him not to be afraid.
He told the street vendor his true identity and proceeded to sing one of his songs as a means of proving it.
Unexpected Generosity: Jah Prayzah’s Encounter with a Kindhearted Hiace Drive
Another segment of the video showcased Jah Prayzah pushing his wheelchair along the middle of the road. He approached a Hiace driver who was waiting at the traffic lights and requested money to buy some buns, explaining that he had diabetes. Initially, the driver claimed not to have any money. Undeterred, Jah Prayzah persisted and asked for even just 50 cents, prompting the driver to inquire if bond notes would be acceptable.
To Jah Prayzah’s surprise, the driver generously offered him some bond notes and inquired about his place of residence, to which Jah Prayzah responded, ‘Machipisa.’
In a gesture of gratitude, Jah Prayzah reciprocated by offering the driver some US dollars. He insisted that the driver use the money to buy himself a drink.
The driver was utterly astonished and overjoyed when Jah Prayzah revealed his true identity.
