A Deadly Concoction: Man Dies After Consuming Lula Lula Enhancing Concoction
In a tragic development, a 49-year-old man from Gokwe died after consuming a traditional herbal lula lula enhancing concoction.
The now-deceased Isaac Kabarapate who was suffering from a s*exual dsyfunction reportedly sought the services of a traditional healer, Macdonald Ndlovu (49) in hopes of finding a solution.
Ndlovu prescribed a mixture of herbs to address the condition, but unfortunately, Isaac Kabarapate experienced severe stomach pains and started vomiting blood after consuming the concoction before he died.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) spokesperson in Midlands Province, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko has since confirmed the incident which happened in Chireya Village, under Chief Chireya in Gokwe North to The Chronicle.
According to the police report in the early hours of March 13, Chiedza Mdimuranwa (43) left her husband, Isaac Kabarapate, at home to attend to her garden near the Ume River.
Upon her return, she received distressing news from her daughter-in-law that Kabarapate was ill.
Alarmed by the news, Mdimuranwa rushed to her husband’s side. She found her husband lying in the bush approximately 150 meters away from their homestead, writhing in agony due to intense stomach pains.
Kabarapate, in his weakened state, disclosed to his wife that he had sought the traditional healer’s assistance for his s*xual dysfunction. He revealed that he had ingested the herbal lula lula concoction he had got from Ndlovu.
Worsening by the hour, Kabarapate’s condition prompted Mdimuranwa and her husband’s brother to urgently transport him to Chireya Mission Hospital during the early hours of the following day. Sadly, Kabarapate succumbed to his illness during the journey, leaving his family devastated.
Following the incident, Isaac Kabarapate’s deceased body was transferred to the United Bulawayo Group of Hospitals for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of his death.
Legal Proceedings Begin: Traditional Healer Arrested, Set to Face Murder Charges
Meanwhile, the police were notified of the tragic incident and subsequently arrested Macdonald Ndlovu, the traditional healer involved. Currently in custody, Ndlovu is under investigation for his role in the death of Isaac Kabarapate. Murder charges are expected to be filed against him as the legal proceedings progress.
