Mai TT’s daughter in tears after seeing her ruthless ex

When Mai TT’s daughter Fifi had her intimate images splashed by a bitter ex on social media, people assumed it was one more episode from their dramatic family.

Her mother’s n_des showing every inch of her private body caused havoc on social media last year. Their family has had a fair share of public drama, from Mai TT’s highly publicised and ill-fated marriages to her going to jail for duping people of cars and money.

Fifi becomes the latest member of the family to face unwarranted and unfavourable publicity. All because of a bitter ex.

Yesterday, her former lover Amin Mhaka made his first court appearance following his arrest. The Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act Chapter 9:3, as amended by the Cyber and Data Protection Act Chapter 12.07, criminalises sharing one’s intimate images without consent.

Eighteen-year-old Fifi went to the Harare Magistrates Court looking elegant and classy in a white costume draped by a black coat. Family assistant Wasu accompanied her.

When Fifi saw her ex-boyfriend, Amin, emotions overwhelmed her and she broke into bitter tears. The man she once gave her heart (and her n_des) had crushed her soul.

Timeline Of Their Relationship And The Drama That Ensued

The two young lovers met on Instagram in 2020 and in no time fell in love. Theirs was an innocent and sweet love, built on trust so much that the little girl sent her best when Amin asked Fifi for her intimate pictures.

They serenaded each other for two years, and in 2022, their relationship hit a snag. Fifi was done. Amin did not take this lightly. He remembered the leverage he held over his ex.

The prosecutor told the Court:

“During the course of their relationship, the accused person asked for the complainant’s n_des, and she sent them to him. She sent her nude pictures several times to the accused person. Soon after the breakup, the accused person started sending text messages threatening to expose the nudes on social platforms if she cut ties with him. The text messages prompted the complainant to keep him close as a friend.”

Almost a year after their breakup, Fifi moved on to one Charles Nyahokwe. Being the bitter ex-lover he is, Amin sent messages attacking Charles. Last year, Amin also demanded money from Fifi so he wouldn’t share her intimate pictures. Mai TT’s daughter wanted no smoke, so she paid him whenever she could. She remained mum, however.

The situation came to a point where Fifi had no more money to pay Amin, and the jilted lover splashed the pictures on social media like confetti.

The court heard:

“On 9 April 2024, at around 2100 hours, the complainant’s [Fifi] sister, Tanatswa Mutikani, told the complainant that there were n_de pictures of her trending on social media. The pictures were the ones she had sent to Amir Mhaka. She was sure she had sent them only to Amir when they were still dating.”

Yesterday, Magistrate Caroline Matanga granted Amin Mhaka of Budiriro US$50 bail. His trial starts on 15 May 2024.

Amin will be liable to a 5-year jail term, a fine or both if found guilty.
