Winky D takes promoter to task for making him perform at 4am in Germany

Veteran performer Winky D recently took a promoter to task for making him perform at a show at 4am in Germany.

The incident happened in the early hours of 4 August 2024 in Duesseldorf, Germany. The dancehall star performed alongside Sweeter hitmaker ExQ, English Makombe, Mambo Mushona, DJ Chitoxicated, DJ Tony and DJ Stiggs.

Winky D came to the stage in the wee hours of 4 August when his performance poster indicated that the show was on the 3rd of August. The Ibotso chanter was visibly unimpressed that the promoter gave him a slot in the morning, with people already exhausted from a jam-packed night.

“Mr Promoter, come. Let me talk. Mr Promoter, you cannot make me sing at 4 o’clock in the morning. No man. No man. I’ve got a big catalogue. But everything stands. Next time, do better. So, right now, we say we have to start the party now.”
