Philanthropist Professor Kudakwashe Tarubereka Gives Back to Community

In a heartwarming display of generosity, Professor Kudakwashe Tarubereka, Director of Craft Properties Holdings, has donated a fully-equipped Easterlea Primary school to the community of Chakari, Kadoma. The school, officially handed over on September 5, 2024, comes complete with a borehole providing clean water, a computer class, science lab, and internet connectivity benefiting both the school and nearby villages.

 

Tarubereka’s philanthropy extends beyond the school, offering scholarships to 48 learners, donating 10 residential stands to individuals with disabilities, 5 stands to those living with albinism, and 10 wheelchairs to those in need in Sanyati district. He has also pledged to build a secondary school in the same area.

 

The school handover ceremony was attended by residents, learners, traditional, religious, and political leadership, including, the guest of Honor, Honorable Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Hon. T Moyo (MP), Honorable Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Mashonaland West Province, Hon M. Chombo (MP), represented by Director Chiwiro, Chief Director, Doctor Peta, representing Honorable Minister J. Moyo, Public Service, Labor, and Social Welfare, Secretary for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Mr. J.T.Jaji.

 

Tarubereka’s selfless act is a shining example of corporate social responsibility and philanthropy, making a significant impact on the lives of the people in Chakari and surrounding areas.

 

“We are committed to giving back to the community,” said Tarubereka.

 

“Education is key to unlocking the potential of our young people, and we are proud to provide them with the resources they need to succeed,” Professor added.

 

The community expressed their gratitude to Tarubereka and Craft Properties Holdings for their generosity.

 

“We are thankful for the school and all the amenities that come with it,” said Mr Cephas Chauruka, Chakari resident.

 

“This will make a huge difference in the lives of our children and our community as a whole,” further said Mr. Chauruka.

 

Tarubereka’s philanthropic efforts are a testament to the positive impact businesses can have on their communities, inspiring others to follow in his footsteps.
