New Generation Prophetic Ministries Church founder, Prophet Timothy Michael, appeared at the Chegutu Magistrates Court on Monday facing allegations of sexually abusing a female church member and was remanded in custody to Tuesday for a bail hearing.
Timothy Michael was arrested on Saturday following reports that he had allegedly demanded a kiss from Kudzaishe Magavhude sometime in April this year.
However, he denies ever being involved with the lady
Magavhude, an active female Church member, is said to be a lawyer by profession employed at Samundombe and Partners law firm.
New Generation Ministries congregants who attended court today in solidarity with their Founder said these are trying times and they will be praying for justice to take its course
Congregants likened the lady lawyer to a Judas Iscariot who was on a mission of selling the Man of God
“Magavhude was an active Church member who was administering sermons at ladies’ events.
“She had become so close to Timothy’s family to an extent she was trusted to be the prophetess’ right-hand person ”
” Magavhude drove the prophetess on her birthday and she even showered the Prophet with presents and other valuables when he also held his birthday,” said a member on condition of anonymity
Timothy Michael is a former prophet in the Johane Masowe Ye Chishanu Jerusalem Apostolic Church but he publicly criticised the Madzibaba sect at the Messenger’s camp when he announced that he was no longer called Madzibaba but Prophet
