British Businessman Erik Johnsen Accorded Kwedu Village Tourism Ambassador

Erik Johnsen, a British tourist who visited Kwedu Village Tourism was yesterday honored with a certificate after being accorded ambassador for Kwedu Village Tourism.

The certificate for being the Ambassador for Kwedu Village Tourism comes after he visited Nzvimbo area in Domboshava where Kwedu Village Tourism is located. Kwedu Village Tourism promotes village-based tourism initiatives and fosters cultural exchange activities.

“I see no difference between London and Harare, the environment, people and the general atmosphere is very pleasant. I enjoyed being in Zimbabwe and next time when I come I will bring my family here so that they experience and enjoy the beauty of Zimbabwe,” said Kwedu Village Tourism Ambassador Johnsen.

Johnsen lives in Derbyshire in the United Kingdom. He is business man, a consultant in developing vocational training centers and enjoys mixing business and pleasure.

“I felt more safe in Harare than in London as I live by the countryside. I enjoyed traditional meals and they reflect the country’s culinary heritage,” added Ambassador Johnsen.

During his visit to Kwedu Village Tourism, he met the sabhuku of the village who gave him a name called Taurai. Kwedu ambassador Johnsen also planted an indigenous tree which he pledged to take care of it till it is grown big.

Kwedu Village Tourism focuses on promoting cultural diversity, offering visitors a glimpse of cultural awareness and offering visitors a glimpse in the country’s vibrant traditions.
