Terror In Palestine As Israeli Forces Kill Innocent Civilians
By Desire Tshuma
Ambassador of Palestine Dr Tamer Almassri condemns in the strongest terms the deadly massacres committed by the Israeli occupation forces yesterday in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing of more than 90 Palestinians and the injury of dozens, considering it an extension of thousands of massacres, crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing to which the Palestinian people are subjected in flagrant violation of all international values, agreements, UN resolutions and relevant orders of the International Court of Justice.
The massacres in Beit Lahia and Jabalia reflects the failure of the international community to respect its legitimacy and decisions as apartheid Israel continues with its genocidal crimes that include starvation and forced migration, destruction and blowing of buildings, aerial bombardment, targeting all health centres, and committing more heinous massacres.
“This massacre should be faced with a decisive international action to stop it immediately, including through imposing an arms embargo and effective sanctions,” said Dr Tarmer Almassri.
The state of Palestine calls on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities and impose an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, provide international protection for the Palestinian people, and ensure the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip. Failure to stop these massacres is a shame on the whole international community
The Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught has risen to 42,697 reported fatalities, with an additional 99,759 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.
