TheList Awards night full of glizt and glamour

“Our vetting process was very vigorous, the winners who won, won by merit and really deserved it,” the founder and curator of TheList Awards by Identities Media, Advocate Nyaradzo Mashayamombe has said.

Speaking on the sidelines on the night of TheList Awards Ceremony held in Harare, Mashayamombe could not hide her joy as on a night where the atmosphere was electric as celebrities, dignitaries and fellow innovators jostled in a hall packed to the brim. All in attendance were eager to celebrate their – and others too – achievements in various fields.

Jussa Kudherezera the director of MAYA was one of the attendandees who won the Youth Impact Award.

Kudherezera is known for his groundbreaking projects aimed at improving the transformative power of young people and women in creating lasting change for socio – economic empowerment.

He thanked his supporters for their endless support and for trusting him

“I am thrilled to share that l finally won the Youth Impact Award.This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible support from all of you,” said Kudherezera.

Another attendee who walked away with an award was Theresa Takafuma a co-founder of Usawa Institute.

She received an award in Storyteller Journalism Impact.

She is a journalist and a context manager with extensive experience in covering elections and community stories.

She echoed similar sentiments with Jussa Kudherezera.

Ms Mashayamombe appreciated the unwavering support from their key partners ZIMCODD supported by USAID.

“I would like to thank all our supporters for their support. We managed to imbursed transport and accomodation allowances for those participants who came from outside Harare and Zimbabwe.

“Winners also walked away with cash prizes and, without these sponsors, nothing fruitful could have come out,” said Ms Mashayamombe.

She said TheList awards will continue to be held annually.
