Aspiring Zifa Board Member, Gilbert Saika Vows To Bring Back Professionalism In Soccer 

Gilbert Saika is a notable figure in Zimbabwean football, currently serving as the Mashonaland Central province chairman.

He has gained recognition for his contributions to the sport, particularly at the grassroots level.He has promised to bring back the nation’s most lovable sport into professionalism and corruption free if nominated to the ZIFA board.

Saika has been endorsed by grassroots leagues for a board member position on the ZIFA executive committee. This endorsement reflects his strong connections with local football stakeholders and their confidence in his ability to drive positive change.

As an aspiring ZIFA board member, Saika will be competing against other prominent figures, including Sharif Mussa, Cuthbert Chitima, Norman Matemera, and Beaullar Msarah . The ZIFA elections, scheduled for January 25, are expected to bring significant changes to the organization’s leadership and direction.

” I am confident that I will make it on the ZIFA elections on 25 January elections due to my experience in the football administration, i will bring positive change in football and bring back fans confidence as I will advocate for total eradication of corruption in the game of football and promote women’s soccer” said Mr Saika.

Gilbert Saika is an experienced and qualified Chartered Certified Accountant ( A.C.C.A) also a member of Public Accounting and Auditors Board (P.A.A.B) and a holder of Masters in Professional Accountancy degree from university of London (UK) .

Saika is current chairman for Mashonaland Central Province, he is former treasury for NRSL , former chairman for Mwana Africa Football Club, former chairman for Trojan Stars and vice chairman for Zifa finance team. He holds Bachelor of Science (Bsc) Hons Applied Accounting – Oxford Brookes University, UK (2.1) and Executive certificate in Treasury management (University of Zimbabwe).
