Kadoma man murdered in dispute over sprinkling of holy ashes

The altercation occurred on January 31, 2025, in Mupamombe Phase 1, where two members of an apostolic sect, Misheck Muperiwa, 22, and Costain Tshuma, 28, were sprinkling the holy ashes.
Mphofu, who attempted to intervene and stop the duo from sprinkling the ashes, was allegedly attacked by Muperiwa and Tshuma. The confrontation turned deadly, and Mphofu succumbed to his injuries. The police were notified, and the two suspects were apprehended and charged with murder.
They are currently in custody, awaiting trial.
