DJ Ribhe Denies Having Lula With Form 2 Girl, Pleads Not Guilty
ChillSpot Records producer Tafadzwa Mandaza, popularly known as DJ Ribhe, has denied having lula lula with the teenage girl who is accusing him of rape.
The producer pleaded not guilty as his trial commenced on Tuesday and told the court he didn’t have relations with schoolgirl.
Speaking through his lawyer, DJ Ribhe also denied the State’s claim that he spiked her drink during a night out at Mashwede Village. In his defence, the ChillSpot wheel spinner says he was at Mashwede Village as a performer and the complainant was in the company of a man named Courage, and another woman.
Allegations are that DJ Ribhe spiked the complainant’s drink before taking advantage of her.
The complainant is a Form 2 student who lives in the same neighbourhood as DJ Ribhe.
According to the State, on October 16 of last year, the teenager did not return home after school. When her father inquired at the school, he learned she had been absent for two days.
The following day, she reportedly went to DJ Ribhe’s home with unidentified individuals, and they left for Mashwede Village around 10 PM. The State alleges that DJ Ribhe manipulated the minor into consuming an unknown substance and smoking shisha.
Later that night, it is claimed that DJ Ribhe took the girl to his home, where she regained consciousness the next day. Upon waking, she allegedly realized that DJ Ribhe had assaulted her. iHarare
