“No Comment to Rubbish”: Muduvuri Dismisses Geza’s Shutdown Call

By Chiyedzo Josiah Dimbo

Prominent businessman and community leader Jimayi Muduvuri has strongly dismissed Blessed Geza’s recent call for a national shutdown, describing it as nothing more than political theatrics unworthy of a response. “No comment to rubbish,” Muduvuri said bluntly, emphasizing that Zimbabweans should not be distracted by individuals seeking relevance through chaos.

“Geza’s actions are not driven by national interest—they are driven by hunger for attention and power. Zimbabweans must not waste their energy commenting on hallucinations,” he added.

Muduvuri warned that engaging with such reckless calls only empowers disruptive agendas that undermine national unity and economic recovery.

> “We become fools of the highest order if we keep dancing to Geza’s delusions,” he said. “This is not leadership—it’s desperation.”

At a time when the country is focused on Vision 2030, Muduvuri called on citizens from all walks of life to reject shutdown politics and continue working towards progress.

> “Zimbabweans must go to work. Businesses must remain open. Schools, hospitals, and industries must not stop because of the noise of a lone, barking dog,” he said. “We have come too far to be derailed by political stunts.”

He also drew comparisons to destructive figures from regional history.

> “Geza is behaving like a modern-day Dhlakama. Just like in Mozambique, these tactics are designed to destabilize—not develop.”

The call for a shutdown comes just days after Zimbabwe celebrated its 45th Independence Day, receiving goodwill messages from across the globe, including from the United States.

> “While the world is celebrating our progress, one man is calling for regression. That’s not patriotism—that’s sabotage,” Muduvuri charged.

As Zimbabwe continues its march toward becoming an upper-middle-income economy by 2030, Muduvuri emphasized that the future belongs to builders, not destroyers.

> “Let us remain focused. Let us work harder, support one another, and build the Zimbabwe we want. Geza’s call must be ignored at any cost.”
