Lights Up Glendale’s Africa Day Celebrations

Glendale – Sungura maestro Alick Macheso on Africa Day packed Glendale’s 007 Club to the rafters as he held a musical celebration of Africa Day.

Staunch fan and prominent Glendale traditional healer Sekuru Nyangatayani was also in attendance clad in his gown with the national flag colours written Joy Master “Varidzi vemafaro” and with Macheso’s popular saying Ayaaaaaayah.

Sekuru Nyangatayani dished money to Macheso and his band members. He is a staunch Macheso fan and does not disappoint as dishing money is his routine activity for Macheso.

Orchestra Mberikwazvo chanter Jonas Kasamba and Barnabas Mandipota spiced up the show and fans were kept on their toes throughout the show enjoying the rhythm.

Somandla Ndebele warmed up the stage, with bass guitarist Spenser Kumbulani aka Baba Ashie proving to be one of the greatest guitarists in the country.

Fans around Mashonaland Central, and Harare province supported the show which was an all night gig.

The show was very peaceful unlike previous shows which shows the maturity of Macheso’s fans. Macheso encouraged his fans to shun violence all the time and they heed his advise.
