Ambassador Strengthens Ties with Zimbabwean Alumni

Harare:The Ambassador of Indonesia to Zimbabwe and Zambia,HE Arief Hidayat, spent a day interacting with alumni and prospective students at the Indonesian Embassy in Harare. The event was held to commemorate Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day.
Ambassador Hidayat, who recently assumed his duties at the Harare embassy, expressed his commitment to strengthening the excellent relations between Indonesia and Zimbabwe. He highlighted the strong community of Zimbabwean students in Indonesia, who have benefited from government-to-government scholarships.
“We have produced many students from this country in Indonesia, and our government is committed to increasing the number of students enrolled in our country,” said the Ambassador. The event featured a range of activities, including eating and cooking competitions, which brought joy to the attendees.
Located in Southeast Asia, Indonesia is home to over 283.5 million people and shares borders with Malaysia in the northern part of Borneo, Singapore and Papua New Guinea.
