Girl Festival set for Saturday at Old Hararians Sports Club…Will it m atch the previously held Doek & Slay
IT’S a massive test for the organisers – will the all-women’s party Girlfest match the standards of Doek & Slay?
The maiden Girlfest show is set for this weekend.
Doek and Slay has been the talk of the town as it has been attracting thousands of women to its shows.
There was a record crowd at Alex Sports Club when ladies converged for the Doek and Slay show, which was held on August 17.
Girlfest is set for Saturday at Old Hararians Sports Club.
The event promises to be a memorable celebration of womanhood and elegance.
The organisers are saying Girlfest is more than just a party; it’s a sanctuary where women can relax and celebrate their strengths.
Hosted by girls, for girls, the event offers a unique space for women to connect, unwind and empower each other.
Artists who are scheduled to perform at Girlfest are Uganda’s Dexta Rapper & Dad, Blaq Diamond (South African), Kae Chaps, EX-Q, Chillmaster, Tamy Moyo, Qounfuzed, DJ Kingher, DJ Pretty Gangsta and Mimi.
“Girlfest may have been a vision given to us but it truly belongs to you. That’s why we call it a homage to women, for us, by us. This year, we want to bring you on stage in the most beautiful way.
“We’re creating a Digital Wall that will loop throughout the festival, filled with collages of Girlfesters, your smiles, your squads, your moments.
“You’re the heart, the sparkle, and the magic of Girlfest.
“And truly, each one of us behind the magic is you. We are literally just girls,” said the organisers.
Girlfest Zimbabwe was established in 2019 to create a safe space for women to come together, relax, and enjoy good music, food, and company.
