Greatman, Chipo Muchegwa, Other Disabled Citizens Gifted Vehicles by President Mnangagwa
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has this morning handed over brand-new Mahindra vehicles to several Zimbabweans living with disabilities during a ceremony held at State House.
Among the beneficiaries were prominent artists Tongai “Greatman” Gwaze, Chipo Muchegwa, Mitchell, and Tindo GP, whose inspiring contributions in music and advocacy have touched communities across the country.
According to officials at the ceremony, the donations form part of the President’s commitment to “leaving no one and no place behind,” ensuring that people with disabilities are supported with practical means that enhance their mobility, independence, and livelihoods.
Speaking during the handover, President Mnangagwa emphasised the importance of empowering all citizens.
“Every Zimbabwean deserves the opportunity to move forward. Today, we celebrate inclusion, talent, and resilience,” he said.
Greatman, Chipo Muchegwa, Tindo GP and Mitchell were visibly overjoyed as they posed for photographs beside their new vehicles, a moment that quickly lit up social media platforms under the hashtag #dandarostreets.
The gifted Mahindra vehicles are expected to significantly improve their day-to-day activities, especially for the musicians whose work relies heavily on mobility for performances and outreach programmes.
