HORRIFIC: Bus Swept Away by Flooded Chivake River in Gutu

A bus was swept away by rising waters at Chivake River in Gutu early this morning (26 November), following heavy overnight rains upstream.

The river suddenly flooded, leaving vehicles stranded and making the crossing extremely dangerous.

Eyewitnesses at the scene say the lack of an immediate rescue response has left many distressed.

One witness expressed frustration, saying:

“Just imagine not even a single rescue team in sight. It’s painful to think that anyone who might still be alive could end up dying simply because there’s no help. Honestly, our country is in a difficult state.

“By now we should be seeing a helicopter on the ground conducting rescue operations, but hey…”
