Prophet Evidence Chari and ex-wife Anesu expose each other on social media
HARARE – Prominent preacher Evidence Chari, the founder of Grace Family International Church, and ex-wife Anesu Mwarianesu have been at each other’s throats on social media, exposing their dirty laundry for the whole world to see.
Anesu has alleged that her ex-husband isn’t as innocent as he appears in public. Evidence also hit back, claiming he was victimised by the former and her sister during the course of their marriage.
“Nhasi ndoda kungoti abusers must fall… Amen,” (Today I would like to say abusers must fall) said Anesu, sparking a controversial response from her ex-husband, who came and opened a can of worms, saying, “Boy child must be protected also.”
“You’re posting this because I confronted your relative who, wanted to sleep with me. Now you’re turning the narrative because she’s the one paying you since you left. If she were truthful, she shouldn’t have wanted to sleep with me.
“I don’t take disrespect from people who disrespect you and call me a manipulator, yet they are the manipulators cause they send money and make you think I’m evil. You definitely need help,” said Chari.
This prompted Anesu to come out with more damning allegations against the cleric, saying she endured a lot of abuse during their marriage, and she wishes to speak out about it.
“Sometimes I wish I could speak openly about what I went through, so those you are trying to convince that you’re the victim and a gentleman could finally see the full picture of who you truly are.
“People don’t just walk away for no reason. If you truly longed before things reached this point. You know how many years I stayed, how much I endured, how many times I tried, and how I protected you.
“That part of the story is always forgotten, and false narratives that are baseless are believed… But it is well my reality and story lives with me,” Anesu vented.
Last month, Anesu went on social media and claimed that her life was in danger and she had decided to divorce Chari due to issues threatening her safety.
