Zanu-PF activist Killer Zivhu in Intensive Care Unit after sudden illness
Outspoken Zanu PF official Killer Zivhu has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following a sudden illness that struck on New Year’s Day.
Information released via Zivhu’s official X account indicates that the controversial politician was rushed to hospital after developing severe breathing complications and was subsequently placed in a private ward under intensive care.
In a statement posted on the account, the family confirmed the seriousness of his condition, saying:
“On a day that was meant to be ordinary, Hon Zivhu has suddenly fallen ill and been rushed to hospital with severe breathing complications. He’s currently in the Intensive Care Unit on oxygen, and the situation is quite concerning. The family kindly requests your prayers.”
Zivhu has in recent times found himself at the centre of internal Zanu PF tensions, having been caught up in party infighting.
He has also occasionally drawn attention for remarks perceived as sympathetic to the opposition, a stance that has set him apart from some party hardliners.
No further official details have been released regarding his current medical status, as supporters and political observers await updates on his condition.
