HEARTBREAKINGš: Filabusi mine accident: 3 people trapped
The ZRP has confirmed a mine accident that happened on 17/01/26 at Hebenia Mine in Filabusi. Three people are trapped after a mine shaft collapsed.
Two of them were working inside the shaft, while the third, the wife of one of the miners, was outside preparing food. When she noticed the ground moving, she ran to the shaft and also became trapped. The shaft is about 11 metres deep, and all three victims are still trapped.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims or provided details on the condition of those trapped as efforts continue at the site.
