The man demanded $350,000 via CashApp to a specific hashtag account.
Authorities later confirmed that the suspect was a U.S. citizen stranded in Algeria.
Fortunately, Speedโs bodyguard acted quickly, defusing the situation without harm.
The man was arrested by Algerian police shortly afterward.
