Suneagles Junior School Opens Doors in Budiriro as Demand for Quality Early Learning Grows

Harare– Parents in Budiriro and surrounding areas will soon have access to Suneagles Junior & Nursery School, as the 11-year-old institution opens a second campus and brings back its Grade 1 class for the 2027 academic year.

The school, founded by Madam Dorcas Chamatunhu, has operated from Belvedere since 2014, offering classes from Baby Class for 12-month-olds through to ECD B. It is now accepting applications for its relaunch of Grade 1, with intake set for January 2027.

Madam Chamatunhu said the move to Budiriro was driven by requests from families seeking the school’s model of care closer to home.

“We identify and nurture talent in a clean, safe space where children are loved and challenged,” she said. “Our focus over the past 11 years has been to lay a strong foundation academically, socially, and spiritually, so that every child can fly to the sun like eagles.”

Suneagles maintains a 1:15 teacher-pupil ratio and blends the standard ECD curriculum with extra activities including swimming, computers, art, music, baking, gymnastics, theatre and public speaking. The school also provides weekly boarding, transport, meals and educational trips.

The Budiriro campus at Stand No. 21485, Budiriro Cabs, will operate alongside the original Belvedere site at No. 7 Blakeway Drive. Places for Grade 1 are limited, and Suneagles is offering special discounts and free uniforms for parents who enrol before August.

To register, parents must bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate, a passport-size photo, the latest school report, and parents’ IDs.

“We’re not just opening another branch,” Madam Chamatunhu added. “We’re extending the Suneagles standard of care and excellence to more families in Harare.”
