A prominent businessman has pledged US$1 million towards the construction and development of the United Family International Church (UFIC), while also announcing plans to gift Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and his wife two luxury vehicles.
The pledge was made in a public message released on Sunday, in which the businessman praised Prophet Makandiwa’s leadership and described him as a minister who has maintained integrity, humility and faithfulness throughout his years in ministry.
He said he had long admired the growth of UFIC and commended the prophet’s dedication to preaching the Gospel and serving God’s people. The businessman also revealed that he was deeply moved after Prophet Makandiwa publicly acknowledged him during a recent sermon and expressed appreciation for his charitable work.
“As part of supporting the vision of building God’s house, I will gladly donate US$1 million for the development of this church,” he said, adding that his contributions to churches are motivated by a desire to support the work of God rather than individuals.
The businessman further announced that he had purchased a 2026 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Facelift for Prophet Makandiwa and intends to present the prophet’s wife with a brand-new Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon in a colour of her choice.
He said he hopes to continue supporting the ministry and encouraged Christians to contribute towards the work of the church, citing the biblical teaching that “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).
The message concluded with prayers for God’s continued blessings, protection and guidance over Prophet Makandiwa and his ministry. This version follows a conventional newspaper style by leading with the key news, maintaining a more neutral tone, and presenting the information in a concise, factual manner. *_-The National_*
