ZIMSEC releases 2026 June O-Level and A-Level results

The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has officially released the 2026 June Ordinary Level and Advanced Level examination results, with candidates now able to check their performance online.
Speaking at a media briefing on Monday afternoon, ZIMSEC board chairperson Professor Paul Mapfumo announced that the results would become available on the examination body’s online portal from 6pm on 3 August and remain accessible for five days.
He said candidates, parents and authorised officials can view the results through the ZIMSEC website, while schools will begin collecting official result slips from regional offices on Tuesday.
“The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council board and management would like to advise the nation of the release of the 2026 June Ordinary and Advanced Level examination results,” said Prof Mapfumo.
“With effect from today, 3 August 2026 at 6pm, Ordinary and Advanced Level examination results will be accessible to all candidates and authorised personnel online through the ZIMSEC portal.”
*Schools to collect official results*
Professor Mapfumo urged candidates to note that the online results portal will only remain open for five days.
He added that printed result slips have already been prepared and will be available for collection at the respective examination centres, while heads of schools and examination centres can collect official results from ZIMSEC regional offices from 4 August.
*O-Level records lower pass rate as A-Level improves*
The latest examination statistics show contrasting performances between the two levels.
The June 2026 Ordinary Level pass rate declined by 2.87 percentage points compared to the 2025 examination session, resulting in an overall pass rate of 3%.
In contrast, Advanced Level candidates posted stronger results. The pass rate increased by 11.88 percentage points from the previous year, with an overall pass rate of 67.74% for the June 2026 examinations.
The mixed outcome reflects an improvement in Advanced Level performance despite a weaker showing at Ordinary Level. Candidates are encouraged to download or print their online results before the portal closes. *_-iHarare_*
