Life Technical Training Institute has recorded a 99.5% pass rate in the latest HEXCO examinations, marking one of its strongest performances to date.
A total of 107 students sat for the national assessments across six vocational programs, with near-perfect results recorded in each area.
The outstanding outcome reinforces Life Technical’s growing reputation as a center of excellence for technical and vocational training in Zimbabwe. Institute Director and Founder Andrew Mugabe said the results reflect a deliberate focus on practical skills, industry partnerships, and student-centered teaching that prepares graduates to enter the workforce with confidence
Students excelled in Electrical Installation and Repair, Garment Construction, Cosmetology, Motor Vehicle Maintenance, Food Preparation, and Housekeeping. The results highlight the institute’s commitment to practical, industry-relevant training across both technical and service sectors.
Institute Director and Founder Andrew Mugabe attributed the success to hands-on training, targeted exam preparation, and alignment with industry standards.
“We are extremely proud of our students and lecturers. A 99.5% pass rate out of 107 candidates proves that discipline and practical training deliver results,” said Mugabe.
“Our mission is to produce graduates who are job-ready. The strong showing in electrical installation and motor vehicle maintenance shows we are meeting industry needs, while excellence in cosmetology, garment, food preparation, and housekeeping equips young people for opportunities in the service and hospitality sectors,” he said.
Mugabe said the institute will continue investing in modern equipment, workshop upgrades, and lecturer development to maintain the momentum.
For the graduates, the results open doors to employment, apprenticeships, and entrepreneurship in trades that are in high demand across Zimbabwe.
“This is a milestone, not the finish line,” Mugabe added. “To every young person seeking skills for jobs and business: Life Technical is the place. Together we will build the future of Zimbabwe,” concluded Mugabe.
Life Technical Training Institute says it is now preparing for the next intake as it works to raise the bar even higher.
