Chivayo gifts Makandiwas new Maybach GLS 600 as anniversary present — after US$1 million cash, Cullinan and G-Wagon
Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo has gifted United Family International Church (UFIC) founder Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and his wife Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa a brand-new 2026 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 as an anniversary present.
In a Facebook post, Chivayo said he had seen mention of the couple’s anniversary on social media and was not sure whether it was current or a recycled post, but had decided to use it as another reason to celebrate them.
Chivayo clarified that the latest vehicle is a joint gift for the couple, unlike his previous car gifts.
“Yes, I admit, I recently bought BABA a BRAND-NEW 2026 ROLLS-ROYCE CULLINAN BLACK BADGE FACELIFT and AMAI a BRAND-NEW 2026 G63 G-WAGON, but to make myself clear those were your personal vehicles. Today with happiness I celebrate YOUR UNION, so please kindly accept this BRAND-NEW 2026 MERCEDES-MAYBACH GLS 600 as your ANNIVERSARY GIFT,” he said.

The Maybach is the latest in a series of lavish gifts from Chivayo to the Makandiwas.
Several months ago, Chivayo offered the couple an undisclosed gift, but they declined it and instead offered to pray for him — a gesture Chivayo later said he neither wanted nor needed.
In late July 2026, Makandiwa reversed his position during a church service, announcing he was now ready to accept the gifts.
Days later, in early August, Chivayo pledged a US$1 million donation for church development and two luxury vehicles to Makandiwa and his wife.
“I will gladly donate US$1 MILLION for the development of this church and for the vision you shared of building God’s house,” he wrote at the time. “In addition, I am honoured to notify you that last week I bought you a BRAND-NEW 2026 ROLLS-ROYCE CULLINAN FACELIFT, and I also intend to bless your beloved wife with a BRAND-NEW MERCEDES-BENZ G-WAGON, a colour of her choice”.
Chivayo later said he personally delivered the cars at the couple’s Harare mansion and was taken aback by its “magnificent mansion” with its “unique architectural designs and opulent Italian-imported marble and finishings”, joking that it made him realise he “still lives in Unit M, Chitungwiza”.
On 9 August 2026, Makandiwa displayed the US$1 million cash before a cheering congregation, with stacks of US$100 notes laid out on the altar, telling congregants: “This is actually a prophecy. The next bag is coming from you to the altar”.
