FOCUS | Cultural diversity shines across BRICS

BEIJING: (Xinhua) — Over the past two decades, BRICS has grown into a major platform for cooperation among emerging markets and developing countries, with an ever-expanding role in global affairs.

Today, BRICS has expanded to 11 member countries and 10 partner countries, becoming a force for advancing a multipolar world and greater democracy in international relations.

The BRICS countries are home to nearly half of the world’s population, where diverse civilizations embrace coexistence and mutual learning.

In 2025, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Uganda and Nigeria became BRICS partner countries.
