Scottland hold Nsingizini to progress to CAF Champions League second preliminary round
Scottland have progressed to the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League after edging Nsingizini Hotspurs of Eswatini 1-0 on aggregate.
Mabviravira preserved their first-leg advantage after playing out a goalless draw in the return fixture at Somhlolo National Stadium in Lobamba on Saturday.
The second leg came a week after the two sides met at the National Sports Stadium in Harare, where Neville Tengeg scored the only goal of the tie.
Scottland will now face the winner of the first preliminary round tie between Mozambiqueโs UD Songo and Angolaโs Atlรฉtico Petrรณleos in the second preliminary round, scheduled for October.
Should they progress through the next round, Scottland will qualify for the CAF Champions League group stages.
Scottland are participating in the Champions League for the first time after winning the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title.
