Man who shot dead his ex-lover MSU student has committed suicide

A man who allegedly gunned down his ex-lover, who was a Midlands State University (MSU) student, has shot himself dead.

Godknows Muleya, who has attracted widespread attention for allegedly murdering his ex-wife is from Bulawayo, while his deceased ex-wife, Lesidi Nkomo, is from Plumtree in Matabeleland South Province.

According to sources, the incident followed a domestic misunderstanding between the former couple. Muleya allegedly shot and killed Nkomo before fleeing the scene.

A day after the incident, Muleya surfaced on social media with a message on his Facebook timeline in which he apologised to his ex-wife and expressed regret over his actions.

Hours later, the fugitive reportedly shot himself dead at a lodge in Chiredzi, sources close to the incident confirmed.

Meanwhile, Nkomo (25) was a Level 4.1 student at Midlands State University who was pursuing a Psychology Honours Degree. She is survived by a minor child. *_-Chronicle_*
