Apostle Talent Chiwenga Divorces His New Wife Barely 6 Months Into The Marriage
Controversial preacher Apostle Talent Farai Chiwenga has deserted his wife barely six months into their marriage, raising questions about his credibility among both followers and critics. Chiwenga, who leads the Jesus Revelation Ministries (JRM), has become a polarizing figure over the years, due to shifting doctrines, controversial teachings, and personal scandals.
Sources close to the preacher revealed that Chiwenga separated from his new wife following unresolved issues. One church member disclosed, “It’s true he has separated from his wife,” but no further details were given. Chiwenga has yet to respond publicly to the reports.
This development follows a series of contentious teachings by the self-proclaimed “mother” of his congregation. Chiwenga has faced backlash for contradictory sermons, particularly those related to marriage and family values.
In recent years, Chiwenga has raised eyebrows by altering his stance on family dynamics and gender roles. For instance, while he previously preached against polygamy and the societal fixation on male offspring, he recently advocated for men to take second wives if their current spouses cannot produce male heirs.
In one sermon, he argued that “a woman who hasn’t borne a son owes her husband,” and justified polygamy as a means for husbands to secure lineage. This was a stark departure from his earlier position in 2019, when he criticized the obsession with male heirs as misplaced.
Chiwenga’s personal life has been marred by allegations of adultery, abuse, and criminal activities. In 2019, his first wife, Rejoice, tragically died in a road accident. Speculation around her death suggested negligence, as Chiwenga admitted to overspeeding at the time of the accident.
Compounding these issues are claims from Rejoice’s family. Her mother alleged that Chiwenga sacrificed his wife for powers to grow his ministry. While Chiwenga denied the accusations and threatened legal action, no significant legal developments ensued.
Furthermore, accusations of sexual misconduct have surfaced, including allegations of rape involving Chiwenga’s former sister-in-law. Critics argue these scandals undermine his moral authority to lead a church.
