Zimbabwean author and farmer, Dr Joseph Nyikandeyedu Kakoto, is set to launch his second book, “Believe, Achieve, Thrive: The Science of Success,” on June 12, 2025.
As the founding president of Zimbabwe Young Farmers for Sustainable Development (ZIYFA-SD) and Executive Director of the Kakoto Foundation, Dr Kakoto’s journey is a testament to his dedication to agriculture and literature.
In an exclusive interview, Dr Kakoto revealed how his passion for writing was ignited despite his demanding schedule in agriculture. “Farming puts food on the table, but writing feeds my soul,” he said. “I’ve always wanted to tell my story, but survival came first, so I had to prioritize farming to sustain my livelihood.”
Dr Kakoto’s success in the literary world is proof that passion and purpose can coexist. “My success in the literary world is proof that passion and purpose can co-exist,” he emphasized. “I might not be a full-time artist, but my stories are just as powerful.”said Dr Kakoto
