Zimbabwe Agricultural Society To Celebrate 130 Years Of Excellence, Innovation And Resilience In August Agri Show

The 115th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show which is scheduled to take place from 25 – 30 August will mark 130 years of excellence, Innovation and resilience.
Addressing journalists at a press conference to announce 2025 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show dates , ZAS CEO Mr Rufaro Gunundu (pictured centre) said Zimbabwe Agricultural Show remains a cornerstone event on the national calendar. ” This show is more than just an exhibition , it serves as a dynamic platform to reflect on the progress made , engagement in meaningful dialogue around the challenges ahead and exploration in new opportunities to drive the growth and sustainability in agricultural economy”. This year Zimbabwe Agricultural Show is running with a theme ” Building Bridges:Connecting Agriculture, Industry and Community “. Currently there are 304 exhibitors who have confirmed their participation for the show with expectations to reach approximately 580 exhibitors. The strong uptake reflects the show’s continued relevance and appeal across all sectors.
During the show, broad range of Business to Business engagements have been curated and these platforms have been designed to bring together senior executives , captains of industries stakeholders and the government to exchange ideas, build partnerships and explore innovations that will drive the growth of agricultural enterprises.
ZAS show sections will feature agricultural produce which is reserved for outstanding exhibitors who have demonstrated excellence at every stage beginning at ward shows , progressing through district and provincial competitions.
Livestock section panel of judges will comprise of experts drawn from both Zimbabwe and the region and will ensure high standards of evaluation across all categories .All animals exhibited its mandatory to be accompanied by a valid Foot and Mouth Disease as a requirement for participation.
Tobacco and cotton sections are also going to treated as similar important with judgements which starts from the ward level.
To enhance convenience additional entry gates have been installed along with expanded parking areas. ” Security remains a top priority that we shall always consider with the adoption of advanced technology and ensure saftey of all attendees including tagging of children which will be done in partnership with the RedCross” added Mr Gunundu.
As usual the Glamis Arena will be live with wide range of entertainment activities including live performance by artists and fireworks displays .However entry charges remains unchanged and the official open will take place on Friday 29 August by the yet to be announced dignitary.
