Sex workers in Bulawayo have urged the government and society to show greater respect for their profession, proposing to be called “pleasure managers” instead of sex workers or prostitutes.

During a Parliamentary Health Portfolio Committee meeting, representative Faith Ncube said they want to operate freely without police harassment and called for the decriminalisation of sex work, arguing it contributes to the economy and supports families.
