After 2 years of silence, Amapiano Festival roars back to life
AFTER a two-year break, one of the country’s most popular music events is set to make a grand comeback, promising an unforgettable blend of music, dance and culture.
The much-anticipated festival will bring together fans, artistes and DJs under one electrifying roof, rekindling the unity and excitement that have long defined the amapianomovement.
The first activation event will take place on today at Cosmopolitan VIP Club, in collaboration with Sunset Day Vibes, marking the beginning of a thrilling countdown to the main festival.
The creator of the Amapiano Festival and managing director of Group Therapy Private Limited, VuyisileNdlovu, said the revival of the event comes at a time when people are craving for connection, joy and shared experiences after years of uncertainty.
“We wanted to bring back that magic, that feeling of togetherness that only Amapianocan create,” Ndlovu said.
“This year’s theme, Make the Circle Bigger, is about expanding our community connecting friends, artistes and fans from all walks of life through music and dance.”
He said the series of pre-event activations leading up to the festival are designed to reignite the festival spirit and give audiences a taste of what’s to come.
“We’re starting off with a bang at Cosmopolitan VIP Club this Saturday, where guests will experience exclusive performances, signature Yanos beats, and that infectious festival energy everyone has missed,” he said.
Ndlovu also hinted that the official date, venue and full artiste line-up for the main event would be revealed soon, promising fans a show that would redefine summer entertainment.
He said the festival team has been working tirelessly to curate a line-up that blends established names with emerging talent, giving both the platform to shine.
“We’re celebrating the unstoppable rise of Amapianoculture.
“This is more than just a music festival, it’s a movement that continues to unite people and shape the sound of a generation.”
Ndlovu encouraged fans to stay tuned to the festival’s social media platforms for upcoming announcements, giveaways and behind-the-scenes moments as the excitement builds.
“As we head into summer, it is all about connection, celebration and community, so gather your crew, get your dancing shoes ready and let’s really make the circle bigger.” _*NewsDay*_
