Zanu PF party’s growing strength in Harare hailed

Zanu PF Provincial member for Harare and Deputy Secretary fo local government, devolution and national housing Willard Gova – aka Cde Widzo – has praised the overwhelming attendance at the Zanu pf Harare inter district meeting and introduction of new co-opted central committee members in Hatcliffe on Sunday .


“We recorded over 27 000 Zanu PF attendees in Hatcliffe for the zone 4 meeting on Sunday, which marks the growing strength of Zanu PF Harare Province. As we had promised our supporters that after the Zanu pf conference which was held in Mutare, we shall come back and give feedback on the resolutions which were agreed on, we called for zone 4 meeting which our supporters anticipated and they came in large numbers which the venue could even hold,” Gova said.

“According to Zanu pf constitution, what we do before we go to the conference, we do resolutions starting from cell level, branch, district, DCC, provincial and finally to the national level and we are then expected to come back and do feed back.”

The inter-district meeting was also an opportunity to introduce two co-opted Central Committee Members Dr Tagwirei and Takamashonganyika to the people.

During the zone 4 inter district meeting on Sunday, Minister for Harare Metropolitan province Charles Tavengwa and also Politburo member announced some key resolutions from the Mutare conference.

The conference resolved to extend President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s term beyond 2028 to 2030, citing his “visionary leadership” and developmental milestones,
Implement policies discouraging the export of raw materials without value addition, and support local manufacturing of solar panels and lithium batteries.

Other resolutions were: To rehabilitate major highways, upgrade border posts, and revitalize the railway network, achieve 50/50 gender parity in all party structures, prioritize employment for National Youth Service graduates and expand vocational training centers and institutionalise comprehensive health insurance for veterans and review pension laws for dependents.
