Police in Mbizo, Kwekwe has arrested a thief who would have watched the movements of his targets, break into their houses during the day and carry away all household property in a truck.

Goddy Mashoko was arrested on Tuesday after Police received a tipoff to the effect that he was suspiciously selling furniture.

Mbizo ZRP acting Officer in Charge, Inspector Ettwel Ngara told journalists on Wednesday that they recovered household property valued at US$12 000 during the arrest.

Ngara added that Mashoko is facing several cases of unlawful entry and theft committed in and around Mbizo since September 2025.

He also urged those that had their furniture stolen to come and identify recovered materials at Mbizo Police Station.

“Mashoko watched the movements of his targets and broke into their households during the day after establishing their whereabouts and schedules. He would come with a truck and made it look like it was a tenant moving out of a house. Cases were recorded in Mbizo 16, 15, 18, 8 and other areas as far as Westend.

“We have recovered items that include televisions, refrigerators, bedding mattresses among other items and we are looking forward to recover more as investigations are still ongoing,” said Ngara. *_-Mavingo Mirror_*
