Chitungwiza Family Seeks US$500 for 16-Year-Old Girl’s Operation for Rare Skin Condition
A 16-year-old girl named Ashley is reaching out for help to cover the costs of an important operation for a rare skin condition.
Her family needs US$500 for the surgery at a local hospital, but they are struggling to raise the funds, reports Sunday Mail.
Ashley’s mother, Priviledge Zambuko, said it is urgent for Ashley to receive medical treatment before her condition gets worse. “My daughter needs this operation in Harare, but we can’t afford it right now,” she explained.
Ashley suffers from a skin issue that causes extreme dryness and hardness on her face. Doctors have advised that without surgery and proper treatment, her condition could permanently affect her appearance.
