The army has been deployed to Guruve to assist police in a massive manhunt for suspected serial killer Anymore Zvitsva.
Zvitsva is on the run following the murder of at least 12 people in the area and authorities have intensified security operations as efforts to track him down continue.
Security has been tightened in Guruve following a series of murders linked to suspected serial killer Anymore Zvitsva, believed to be responsible for 12 deaths since October.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police, supported by soldiers, has increased patrols, surveillance, and stop-and-search operations after the killing of Alice Saujati Mayora (40) and her 16-year-old daughter.
Residents in Korobe have been advised to sleep in groups for safety.
Police are also verifying the authenticity of an alleged list naming 100 women and 50 girls said to be potential targets, and have warned that anyone aiding the suspect will be dealt with according to the law.
