Two Men Arrested Over Beatrice Armed Robberies
Two men in their twenties have been arrested in connection with a series of armed robbery incidents that took place in Beatrice on 5 and 6 March 2026.
In a statement, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the arrest of Conrad Moyo (22) and Milford Sidhakwa (24).
Police said the suspects allegedly carried out the robberies using torches, a bolt cutter, a machete, an electric shocker and a satchel, together with an accomplice, Shadreck Shava, who is still at large. The ZRP said:
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms the arrest of Conrad Moyo (22) and Milford Sidhakwa (24) in connection with a series of armed robbery cases which occurred in Beatrice on 05 and 06 March 2026.
“On 06 March 2026, Police in Beatrice received a report of armed robbery which occurred on 05 March 2025 at around 2200 hours at a bar in which a security guard and a bar lady were attacked before two cellphones, cash and alcoholic beverages were stolen.
“The police swiftly attended the scene and carried out a motorised patrol along Harare-Masvingo Road, leading to the arrest of the suspects.
“The arrest led to the recovery of 20 smartphones, USD 780.00, ZiG 110.00 cash, two torches, a bolt cutter, a machete, a necklace, an electric shocker and a satchel.
“The suspects are being linked to seven armed robbery cases including a robbery case which occurred at a motel in Beatrice on 06 March 2026 at around 0120 hours where USD 371.00 cash, alcoholic beverages and two cellphones, among other valuables were stolen and another case of robbery which occurred on 06 March 2026 at around 0145 hours at a plot in Rocklands, Beatrice where four cellphones and USD 609.00 cash were stolen.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of the outstanding suspect, Shadreck Shava.
