Matabeleland South – The transformative 144km Bulawayo-Maphisa-Kezi-Gwanda road rehabilitation project is taking center stage, symbolizing the Second Republic’s commitment to bridging the nation’s infrastructure divide. Under the stewardship of Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Development, Advocate Hon Felix Mhona (pictureď), the project is a testament to President Dr. Emerson Mnangagwa’s vision of inclusive development, where no place or person is left behind.

The project, led by Provincial Engineer Mangisi Nkomo, is being undertaken by several construction companies equipped with high-tech machinery and technical expertise. Minister Mhona recently toured the project, accompanied by Matabeleland South Provincial Minister, Hon Albert Nguluvhe, to assess progress.

“We are working tirelessly to ensure that our roads are safe, efficient, and conducive to economic growth,” said Minister Mhona. “This road rehabilitation is a critical component of our infrastructure development agenda.”

Provincial Engineer Mangisi Nkomo said the project is progressing well. “We are using high-tech equipment and technical staff to ensure that the work is done to the highest standards,” he said.

Matabeleland South Provincial Minister, Hon Albert Nguluvhe, praised the government’s efforts, saying the project is a game-changer for the region. “This road rehabilitation is a significant boost to our economy, and we are grateful to President Mnangagwa and Minister Mhona for their unwavering support,” he said.
