Married Couple Jailed For Drug Trafficking In Bulawayo
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has secured the conviction of a married couple in Bulawayo following their arrest for drug trafficking.
Darian-Lee Kevin Lloyd Jackson (31) and Lakim-Lee Robinson (32) were intercepted by police on 18 July 2025 at the corner of 12th Avenue and Josiah Tongogara Street. A search revealed dagga sachets, dagga cigarettes, and cocaine in their possession.
Further investigations led police to the couple’s residence in West Somerton, where officers uncovered large quantities of loose dagga, packaging equipment, pocket scales, and heat sealing machines.
Police recovered nine kilograms of dagga valued at ZIG 240,000 and five grams of cocaine worth ZIG 5,400.
In court proceedings, one of the offenders pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six years in prison, with two years suspended for five years.
The other was convicted after trial and received a six-year sentence, with three years suspended for five years.
