Kadoma Agricultural Show Rescheduled to October 1-3

The Kadoma Agricultural Show Society (KASS) has announced the rescheduling of the 113th Kadoma Agricultural Show 2026 from September 24-26 to October 1-3, 2026, to avoid a clash with a major national event set to be held in the city.
In a press statement released on 22 September 2026 and signed by Temptation Maketa on behalf of KASS, the Society informed all Exhibitors, Stakeholders, Sponsors, Farmers, Government Departments and the general public that the annual showcase will now run from 1st, 2nd and 3rd October 2026 at the Kadoma Agricultural Show Grounds.
The Official Opening ceremony, which is the highlight of the Show, will now take place on Saturday, 3rd October 2026. The organizers stressed that the change was unavoidable and was made in the national interest.
According to KASS, the rescheduling was necessitated by an official notification that the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) will be holding its National Prisons Day Celebrations in Rimuka, Kadoma on the 26th and 27th of September 2026.
The dates for the ZPCS national celebrations directly coincided with the Official Opening day of the Kadoma Agricultural Show, which was scheduled for 26th September. Both events require significant state resources, security, protocol, and public attendance, making it impractical to host them simultaneously in the same town.
“To allow this important National Event to take precedence and to ensure that both events are successful, we as KASS have opted to shift our dates,” reads the statement.
The Kadoma Agricultural Show is one of the oldest agricultural shows in Zimbabwe, now in its 113th year. It is a key economic and social event on the Mashonaland West calendar, providing a vital platform for commercial and small-scale farmers, agribusiness, mining houses, manufacturing companies, Small to Medium Enterprises, educational institutions, and government departments to showcase products, innovations, and services.
The postponement comes at a time when many exhibitors had already finalized travel, accommodation, stand construction and product deliveries for the September dates. Acknowledging this, KASS has sincerely and unreservedly apologized for any inconvenience caused.
“These changes are beyond our control. KASS sincerely and unreservedly apologizes for any inconvenience that this change may have caused to your planning, bookings, travel arrangements and programmes,” Maketa said.
In a move aimed at reassuring the business community, the Society has confirmed that all stands and bookings already made remain valid for the new dates in October. Exhibitors will not be required to re-book or pay any additional fees.
KASS further indicated that preparations for this year’s Show are already at an advanced stage. Despite the one-week shift, organizers have promised that this year’s edition will be bigger and better, with improved exhibitions, entertainment, and business networking opportunities for the City of Gold.
The decision by KASS to pave way for the ZPCS National Prisons Day Celebrations has been seen as a gesture of goodwill and national cooperation, ensuring that both events receive the attention and success they deserve without straining the city’s resources.
The Society has thanked all stakeholders for their understanding, patience, and continued support over the past 113 years.
