Perennial presidential candidate Egypt Dzinemunenzwa claims he lost US$20 000 to robbers

Prominent politician and leader of the African National Party, Egypt Dzinemunenzva who has contested in the highest number of presidential elections in the country, has sensationally claimed that he lost US$20000 to robbers, Zim Now has learnt.

His lawyer, Obey Shava said the money was meant to meet the nomination fees as he is an aspiring President of Zimbabwe.

“My client told me that he lost money meant for his nomination. I will give more details later,” Shava said.

Dzinemunenzva recently challenged the gazetted nomination fees at the High Court, arguing that they were too high. However, the High Court treated the matter as not urgent.
