58 Graduate At Kadoma’s Life Tech Institute

Fifty-eight students have graduated with certificates from Kadoma’s Life Technical Training Institute in various disciplines during the institution’s first graduation ceremony held at John Mack Hall in Kadoma recently.

Running under the institution’s theme “Promoting industrialisation through skills – Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo” the technical college said the graduation ceremony was proof that the institution had lit a matchstick by embarking on a long journey of holding the first-ever ceremony by producing competent graduates.

“To you students who are graduating today there is a saying that there is light at the end of a tunnel, you’ve broken the milestone through thick and thin and I encourage you all to keep on upgrading, the sky is not the limit, always aim higher, dream big and aim big and through those difficult times you’ve sailed through and I want to say to you all that go and industrialize and never get tired of bringing new ideas,” said the communique.

One of the graduates, 19 year-old Blessings Chigavazira (pictured) who graduated with a first prize in Training Apprenticeship Programme, said her recently acquired training has widened her vision to other horizons.

“I’m happy to have graduated today in Training Apprenticeships Programme and this has widened my vision to other horizons. I will use this knowledge to the best of my ability to serve the community,” said Chigavazira.

Another graduate,Bridget Benjamin,20, who graduated in Tourism and Hospitality also welcomed programmes provided by Life Technical Training Institute.

“The programmes provided by Life Technical Training Institute are hands-on programs which has provided me much requisite knowledge found in the hospitality industry,” she said.

Life Technical Training Institute offers vocational training in Cosmetology, Tourism and Hospitality, Electrical Installation, garment-making and Training for Apprenticeships for enterprises level to National Diploma. Students sit for Higher Examinations Council (HEXCO) through their sister college,Mupfure ZIMFEP College.
